The Palette of Late Summer

For some reason, just as August and the dog days hit, I change my color palette to what I call "late summer" which is basically the color of sunsets, I realize.  I love oranges, browns, khakis and blushes.  Basically, the sunset over the ocean.  I must not be the only one because you start to see this color palette in stores, too.  Everything is still super lightweight to deal with the heat, but we get to join in as summer fades into fall. 

Below you can see a skirt that pulls in all my favorite August colors.  I made it a few years ago and it gets all its airtime every year in August.  Getting every last bit out of summer over here.
