Sewing for the Sea

One of the most fun parts of this business is the design phase.  I took one sewing class, got a sewing machine and continue to learn as I go, mainly from YouTube tutorials.  Taking a few yards of fabric and turning it into something to wear in a few hours is so satisfying.  Last year, I decided to try my hand at swimwear and it was so much easier than I thought it would be.  I went absolutely crazy and made so many swimsuits.  They don't take much fabric or time so, before I knew it, I had a lifetime of new suits to wear.  Since I made most of them reversible, I actually have two lifetimes of suits to wear.  Looks like I better book a few more beach trips!

Who knows if any of these designs will show up in the Pixie line-up, but you never know.  Leggings or swimsuits certainly fit the "city to sea" lifestyle so... who knows...

For now, I'll keep designing and sewing.
