14 Days of Valentine's - Day 1, Plant Lover + Two Favorite Plant Shops
Valentine's Day or really any day, is a great day to bring someone a plant. I love flowers, but plants do last longer and bring so much joy over so much time. Fast forward from the 1970s and plants are also back "in style". I think quarantine days got us all back on plants and that is one good thing to come out of that time period.
As we post a few ideas for Valentine's gifts, National Houseplant Appreciate Day (Jan 10) seemed to be a great day to share my favorite idea - a House Plant Themed Gift.
A fun place to shop for plants is The Victorian Atlanta. They have just moved from Ponce City Market to a place on the Beltline. I have been buying plants there since they were in pop-up space. They have since grown and moved and it has only gotten more fun. They have plant books, hangers, pots and other fun stuff, too.
Another (easier) way to shop for plants is at Plants.com. I have been shopping them for years and use them for employee and corporate gifts for Pat's business. We are fans for Money Trees for new salespeople, for one thing. They always deliver beautiful plants that people seem to really love.
Plantopedia book I found at Victorian, but, if you're not local, it's also on Amazon. And, of course, to complete the gift, a monstera print skirt or scarf from Pixie fits the theme well.
